George Burgott is a seasoned litigator who established his practice in Eugene in 1976. Though he specializes in insurance defense, he also frequently handles major commercial litigation, intellectual property disputes, and product liability claims. A synopsis of his experience:
Consumer law/class actions: Fraud; trade practices; automobile/RV lemon law and breach of warranty claims; lender liability
Insurance law: Insurance coverage disputes; insurance agent malpractice
Intellectual property: Copyright and trademark litigation
Personal injury claims: Products liability; toxic tort; commercial liability; employer’s liability claims; motor vehicle accidents; contractor and landlord liability

George is admitted to practice in all Oregon state and federal courts and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and is an inactive member of the Michigan and Iowa state bars. He is a member of the Oregon State Bar Association, Lane County Bar Association, Oregon Association of Defense Counsel (OADC) and Defense Research Institute (DRI), and an associate member of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys (ADTA).
