Jessica grew up in the small Eastern Oregon town of Milton-Freewater, attended college at Gonzaga University in Spokane, and moved to Eugene in 2002 to attend law school at the University of Oregon. She worked as a law clerk at Luvaas Cobb during her third year of law school. After graduating in 2005, she clerked for the Honorable Mary Ann Bearden, then presiding judge of the Lane County Circuit Court. She joined Luvaas Cobb as an associate in 2006 and became a shareholder in 2014.
Jessica’s primary practice areas are estate planning and trust and probate administration. Additionally, she has significant experience handling protective proceedings, real estate transactions, and business formation. In 2014, Jessica expanded her practice to broadcast, media, and communications law, and is working extensively with the firm’s radio and television station clients on regulatory and transactional matters.
Jessica is admitted to practice in Oregon. She is a member of the Oregon State Bar, Lane County Bar Association (Probate Section Secretary, 2006-2008), American Bar Association, Oregon Women Lawyers, Eugene Estate Planning Council, the Eugene-Springfield Tax Association, and the Federal Communications Bar Association.
“I believe that the practice of law is not merely a career choice, but a calling.” says Jessica. “I find great meaning in the relationships I build with my clients, and consider myself fortunate to be able to help people and earn their trust.”
